Inside the apartment
C101 is a smart, modern flat with a relaxed, homely feel. The living area has a comfortable sofa, a TV and a dining table for meals together, and the kitchen is close at hand so whoever's cooking stays part of the conversation. It's the sort of place that works for a weekend in the city, a few nights before a cruise, or a few weeks while you're working in Southampton. One guest who booked at short notice called it lovely and said they'd definitely stay again. And because the bedrooms are a king and a twin, it suits a couple with children, a group of friends or colleagues equally well.
Bedrooms
Bedroom 1: a king-size bed with its own en suite, to sink into after a day on your feet.
Bedroom 2: two single beds, great for children, friends or colleagues.
Living room: a sofa bed that sleeps two more.
Every bed is made up with fresh linen before you arrive, with room-darkening blinds and portable fans for warmer nights.
Bathrooms
There are two bathrooms, with a bath and a walk-in shower between them, so six people can get ready without a queue. Fresh towels, a hairdryer and starter toiletries are waiting for you.
Kitchen
Cook breakfast before a day out or a proper dinner after one. The kitchen has an oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge and freezer, a dishwasher, a toaster, a kettle and a coffee machine, with pots and pans, a baking tray, crockery, cutlery and wine glasses. Ocean Village's Tesco Express is just round the corner for supplies.
Working and longer stays
There's a desk and Wi-Fi for working, an iron for work shirts, and washing machines and tumble dryers in the building. Stays of a week or more are priced lower per night, and you can book up to 89 nights online. For longer stays or company bookings, email us before you book and we'll see what we can do for you.
Your parking space
Driving in? Your space is in the building's underground car park, entered from Albert Road with a fob that opens the shutter, and it's marked C101. The car park has a 2-metre height limit, so it's no good for a tall van or a roof box. If you're bringing a second car, there's pay parking on the street (by machine or the PayByPhone app). We send step-by-step directions to the space before you arrive.
Easy access
The apartment is on the first floor and step-free from the street: the building has a lift, the doorways are wide, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the same level as the front door.
Collecting the keys
Keys and the building fob are kept at a KeyNest point inside Victory Newsagents on Southampton's High Street, about 13 minutes' walk away, rather than in a box at the door, so they're held safely in a staffed shop. The shop opens at 9:30 am, so you can pick everything up on your way in, and you return them there when you leave. Your collection code and directions arrive before your stay.
Where you are in Southampton
Royal Crescent Road sits on the edge of Ocean Village, the city's marina quarter. Marina walks, waterfront restaurants, bars and cafés are about three minutes' walk. The Ocean Cruise Terminal is about 11 minutes on foot, Town Quay, for the Isle of Wight ferries, about 12, and the City Cruise Terminal around 24. St Mary's Stadium and the medieval Bargate are each about 16 minutes away, WestQuay's shops and restaurants about 19, and the Mayflower Theatre about 28. One recent guest found the city centre just a ten-minute walk or a short bus ride.
Getting here and days out
Southampton Central station is about 30 minutes' walk or a short bus or taxi ride, with direct trains to London Waterloo. By car, the M27 and M3 are easy to reach, and having your own parking space makes days out simple: the New Forest, Winchester and Portsmouth are all within an easy drive, and the Isle of Wight is a ferry ride from Town Quay, about 12 minutes' walk away.
