Mordaunt Road

Mordaunt Road is a three-bedroom house in a residential street near The Avenue in Southampton, sleeping up to seven, with a driveway, two and a half bathrooms, a conservatory and a kitchen with a breakfast bar. Bedford Place is about 11 minutes' walk, and dogs are welcome.

Who it suits

Families, friends and work crews staying a few nights or a few weeks. Fitters who stayed in July 2026 said it felt like a home from home, and about half of all stays are four nights or longer.

Sleeping and bathrooms

The main bedroom has a king bed and its own en-suite. The second bedroom has two singles and the third a single, and a sofa bed in the living room sleeps two more. There's also a family bathroom with a bath and a shower, plus a separate toilet. A travel cot and high chair are available, with children's cutlery, books and toys.

Living and cooking

The living room has plenty of seating and a TV with Virgin channels, and the conservatory adds a second, brighter place to sit. The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and a breakfast bar for quick meals or working, and there's a washing machine, tumble dryer and fast Wi-Fi.

Outside and parking

There's a private outdoor space at the back, and dogs are welcome (£50 per pet when you book here). One car parks on the driveway in front of the garage (the garage itself isn't available). The street outside is permit-only or one hour, but we can usually lend a permit for a second car if you ask before you arrive.

Around Southampton

Bedford Place is about 11 minutes' walk, Portswood about 19, the Mayflower Theatre about 20 and Southampton Common about 23. Southampton Central station is about 25 minutes on foot, WestQuay 26 and the Bargate 27, and buses into the centre run nearby. Southampton General Hospital is about 10 minutes by car and the cruise terminals 6 to 8 minutes' drive.
