Spinnaker View

Spinnaker View is a three-bedroom holiday home in Portsmouth with parking: a newly renovated house in Paulsgrove that sleeps six, looking across Portsmouth Harbour to the Spinnaker Tower and Portchester Castle. Port Solent's marina is about an eleven-minute walk, and you have your own off-road space at the back. You can book it direct with us right here.

Inside the house

Everything here is new, from the herringbone floors to the kitchen, and guests regularly describe the house as immaculate. The kitchen has an oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, air fryer and coffee machine, with tea and kitchen basics to get you started, and the breakfast bar seats four, with a pull-out side shelf when everyone eats together. The bright lounge has a Smart TV for evenings in, the Wi-Fi is fast throughout, and there are fans to keep you cool on warm nights.

Bedroom 1: a king-size bed.

Bedroom 2: a double bed.

Bedroom 3: two single beds.

Upstairs, the shower room has a marble-effect walk-in shower, and there's a separate toilet downstairs, which helps when six people are getting ready. Every bed is made up with hotel-quality linen, and fresh towels and toiletries are ready for everyone.

Outside

The private garden at the back has a patio table and chairs for summer evenings, and your off-road parking space is right behind the house.

Good to know before you book

The front of the house looks over the harbour across the A27, a busy dual carriageway, so you'll hear traffic at the front. Travelling with a bigger group? Castle View, which also sleeps six, is a two-minute walk along the same road.

Where you are in Portsmouth

Walking times from the front door: Port Solent's restaurants, bars, shops and cinema about 11 minutes, Portchester Castle about 20 along the harbour, and Lakeside North Harbour about 27. By car, Cosham station is about 5 minutes away, Queen Alexandra Hospital 6, the ferry port 7 and Gunwharf Quays 11. Portsmouth Harbour, for the Isle of Wight ferries, is 15 to 20 minutes' drive, and the Historic Dockyard and the Spinnaker Tower are about 13 minutes, with Southsea Common 13 and Southsea Castle 14. The M27 is close by, and buses along Southampton Road run to Port Solent, Cosham and the city centre.

Parking, arrival and departure

Your private off-road parking space is at the back of the house, reached from Farmlea Road, and a second car can park in the surrounding streets. Check-in is self check-in with a lockbox, any time between 4 pm and 9 pm, and check-out is by 10 am. We send directions and your code before you arrive, and our local team is on hand by message every day from 8 am to 8 pm.

• Can we arrive after 9 pm? Sorry, no: the lockbox check-in window ends at 9 pm, so aim to get here between 4 and 9.
• Is there a cot? Yes, just ask for it when you book.
• Are the bedrooms upstairs? Yes, all three bedrooms and the shower room are upstairs; the front door is step-free and there's a toilet downstairs.
