Bellevue is a serviced apartment in Southampton city centre: a one-bedroom flat on London Road that sleeps four, on the third floor with a lift. Bedford Place's cafés, bars and restaurants are about three minutes' walk, the Mayflower Theatre eleven and Southampton Central station fifteen, and dogs are welcome. Inside the apartment

Bellevue is modern and neat, in a secure building in the middle of Southampton, and guests rate the location in almost every review. The kitchen is set up for proper self-catering, with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle and a coffee machine with fresh pods, plus all the cookware, crockery and cutlery you need. Eat at the dining table, work at the desk space with fast Wi-Fi, and unwind with the TV or a board game. A washing machine in the kitchen makes longer stays easy.

Bedroom and bathroom

The bedroom has a double bed made up with fresh linen, with spare pillows and blankets and room-darkening blinds. The sofa in the living room opens into a bed for two more, which suits a couple travelling with friends or children. The bathroom has a shower, and towels, a hair dryer and toiletries are provided.

Worth knowing

The windows in this modern block don't open, so the flat can get warm in summer. Fans are provided, but there's no air conditioning. The lift is on the slow side, and the stairs are there if you'd rather. There's no parking at the apartment itself; see below for the nearby options.

Where you are in Southampton

Walking times from the door: Bedford Place about 3 minutes, Watts Park 7, the O2 Guildhall 9 and the Mayflower Theatre 11. Southampton Central station, with direct trains to London Waterloo, is about 15 minutes on foot, WestQuay 16, and St Mary's Stadium and the Bargate about 18. The City Cruise Terminal is about 25 minutes' walk, and Ocean Village and the other cruise terminals are a short taxi ride. By car, the University's Highfield campus is about 7 minutes away, Southampton Airport Parkway 9, Southampton General Hospital 10, and Lyndhurst and the New Forest about 22.

Parking, arrival and departure

There's no parking at the apartment. You can pay to park on Bellevue Road, where the building's entrance is, using the machine or the PayByPhone app, or use the Kings Road long-stay car park just around the corner. Check-in is self check-in with a lockbox at the flat door, any time between 4 pm and 9 pm, and check-out is by 10 am. We send directions and your codes before you arrive, and our local team is on hand by message every day from 8 am to 8 pm.

• Is it good for a cruise? Yes: the City Cruise Terminal is about 25 minutes' walk, and the others are a short taxi ride.
• Does it have air conditioning? No. The windows don't open, so it can be warm in summer; we provide fans.
• Can we bring our dog? Yes, one dog is welcome; a pet fee is added when you book.
• Is there a lift? Yes, to the third floor.
• Can we stay longer? Stays of up to 89 nights can be booked online; for 90 nights or more, or for a company booking, please get in touch first.
• Can we arrive after 9 pm? No. Check-in closes at 9 pm, so please plan to arrive between 4 pm and 9 pm.
