Living, cooking and working

This is a whole house, so you get your own front door and room to spread out. The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, kettle and coffee machine, plus the cookware and utensils to cook properly rather than live on takeaways, and the dining table seats the whole group together. A dedicated desk means calls and reports don't have to happen on the sofa, and the Wi-Fi is fast throughout. At the end of the day there's a TV and a games console in the living room.

Bedrooms and bathroom

Bedroom 1: a king-size bed.

Bedroom 2: a small double bed.

Bedroom 3: two single beds.

Each bed is made up with fresh linen, and towels, a hair dryer, an iron and basic toiletries are provided. All three bedrooms are upstairs, and the bathroom, with a bath and a separate shower, is on the ground floor.

Outside

The private garden at the back has outdoor seating, for a coffee in the morning sun or a drink after work, and it gives a dog somewhere to stretch out.

Longer stays

Almost half of our guests here stay a week or longer, so the house is set up for it: a washing machine and tumble dryer, a proper kitchen, a desk and space to unpack. If you're arriving early or leaving late, ask us about dropping off your bags.

Where you are in Southsea

Walking times from the front door: the shops and cafés on Fawcett Road about 5 minutes, Fratton station (direct trains to London Waterloo, Southampton and Brighton) about 8, and Albert Road's restaurants and bars about 10. Fratton Park is about 16 minutes on foot, Portsmouth and Southsea station 19, the University and Commercial Road about 20, and Canoe Lake and Palmerston Road about 21. Southsea Common is around 26 minutes' walk and Southsea Castle 29. By car, Gunwharf Quays, the Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth Harbour station, the ferry port and Eastney Beach are each about 6 minutes away, the Historic Dockyard about 10 and Queen Alexandra Hospital about 12.
